The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary (as Thattekkad is known now)  is 55 km North-east of Kochi. To arrive at Thattekkad, you have to take the  National Highway 49 which passes  through Kothamanagalam. For detailed map, Click here.

At Kothamanagalam,   turn off towards Thattekkad, 15 Kms down this road.
